| Couple things to look at / try..
Internet works, just not "update" sites.. and slow boots ...
Both could be related...
Check date/time - if more than 5 minutes out of sync you could being denied..... |

What was your install process?
How many OS are installed just LL5 and LL6 or windows too..
Sounds like an UEFI bios, make sure boot loader resides on that same parti... |
