Thread: Updates via GUI - no indicator
Post: Re: Updates via GUI - no indicator
Changed the lite-updates file to the Yad version code as suggested in post #20 on my version 4.2 machine, but as I'd already updated that day, there were no further updates to install.
When I ran upd... |

Just to confirm, I ran the Yad version update this morning and it appears the overall process has the same cosmetic quirk as with the Zenity code.

Thread: Install Update failing
Post: Install Update failing
I'm seeking advice with a failed update.
Log attached - mentions 'no space left on device'.
Do I need to remove the unused packages or is it more complex ?
Thank you.

Thread: Install Update failing
Post: Re: Install Update failing
The apt-get autoremove operation appears to have freed up space in my linux boot partition - it was at 97% but is now 24% full.
Routine update completed without a problem this morning.

Thread: System backup to another drive
Post: Re: System backup to another drive
Using Timeshift v19.08
Timeshift - Settings - Location allows me to specify a USB connected drive as the destination of the system back up. The SATA attached 'data' drive also appears as an option.

Do you get an update complete at the end ?
It might be you are seeing a rare problem that was discussed a while back. See

The actual command is
Code:
--
timedatectl

Your screenshot shows "timedetectl" which the system didn't like. |

Just tried using catfish on my home directory and see the same as you - so not a permissions issue.
Looks like catfish is for locating and opening files, not for relocating them. |
